Research news and views across the spectrum of field and laboratory-based work concerned with monkeys, apes and social anthropology are welcome. --- Welcome to the interactive mail listing Primatology. The aim of this list is to provide a forum for issues arising from the study of human and non-human primates. It is hoped that a wide range of research interests will attract news and reviews, promoting academic discussion and debate from both field- and lab-based scientists working with monkeys, apes and within human social anthropology. The list will initially operate as an "open" list, and therefore remains available for public access. For this reason, please consider caution in the provision of postal addresses in your email messages. If this is an important factor for you, good security without anonymity is generally well served by using email addresses only, when addressing the entire list membership. As so many of us are scattered about the Planet's surface and meet less often than we might, I am hopeful that this facility will increase the degree of communication and colaboration between the various labs and field-stations around the world. Please feel free to contribute news and reviews of research, past or present, notices of conferences, meetings, requests for info., etc..,. New members are welcome to introduce themselves to the list outlining their specific field of interest. So, other than that, the list may be used to share and air your gripes and satisfactions with the fascinating world of Primatology. Best wishes, Tony Dickinson. email: tonyd@uk.ac.ed.castle P.S. It is also currently free, very fast and rarely not available. On-line archives will also be made accessible with automatic monthly updates. --- ======================================================================== 196 Received: from UKACRL.BITNET by IFEUNIV.UNIFE.IT (Mailer R2.08) with BSMTP id 5152; Fri, 29 Apr 94 13:49:16 ITA Received: from RL.IB by UKACRL.BITNET (Mailer R2.07) with BSMTP id 1732; Fri, 29 Apr 94 12:49:11 BST Received: from letterbox.rl.ac.uk by ib.rl.ac.uk (IBM VM SMTP V2R1) with TCP; Fri, 29 Apr 94 12:49:09 BST Via: uk.ac.mailbase; Fri, 29 Apr 1994 12:46:35 +0100 Received: by nisp.mailbase.ac.uk id (5.65cVUW/MAILBASE.2.0 ); Fri, 29 Apr 1994 11:49:36 +0100 X-Version: Mailbase (TM) Enhanced List Manager Version 2.3 Received: from [+JANET.000015001015/FTP.MAIL] by nisp.mailbase.ac.uk id (5.65cVUW/MAILBASE.2.0 ); Fri, 29 Apr 1994 11:49:04 +0100 From: A R Dickinson Subject: [Laura McMahon: Rwanda Petition] To: primatology@mailbase.ac.uk Date: Fri, 29 Apr 94 11:48:54 BST Message-Id: <9404291148.aa22624@uk.ac.ed.castle> X-List: primatology@uk.ac.mailbase Reply-To: A R Dickinson Sender: primatology-request@mailbase.ac.uk Precedence: list ---- Start of forwarded text ---- > Received: from uakari.primate.wisc.edu by castle.ed.ac.uk id aa08307; > 28 Apr 94 19:39 BST > Received: by uakari.primate.wisc.edu; > id AA25483; 5.61/41.7; Thu, 28 Apr 94 13:22:04 -0500 > Reply-To: primate-talk@edu.wisc.primate > Errors-To: black-hole@primate.wisc.edu > Sender: primate-talk-request@edu.wisc.primate > Precedence: bulk > Received: by uakari.primate.wisc.edu; > id AA25427; 5.61/41.7; Thu, 28 Apr 94 13:18:57 -0500 > Date: Thu, 28 Apr 94 13:18:57 -0500 > From: Laura McMahon > Message-Id: <9404281818.AA25427@uakari.primate.wisc.edu> > To: primate-talk@edu.wisc.primate > Subject: Rwanda Petition > X-Primate-Talk-List-Id: 04/28/94 13:19:02 > Status: RO > > > Dear Primate-talkers, > > Following is a letter asking for help circulating > petitions for Peace in Rwanda.
