Regarding recreational drug use as a victimless crime, I can only
wonder who could possibly ever justify this.  I live in a city
where children are shot daily on the streets by drug dealers fighting
over turf.  Our own country spends millions trying to stop the flow
of drugs.  Our insurance rates are astronomical because of thefts
from people supporting drug habits. Our police and drug enforcement agents
are outgunned and out-numbered in a war they cannot win.  The idea that
there is such a thing as 'recreational' drug use and that it is a victimless
crime is extremely self-centered.  Use of illegal drugs is a crime.  There
are victims.  Period.
